COLUMBUS, Ga.- With some of her fellow Savannah Grand residents at her side in the dining hall, Mary Brown was presented with a birthday cake for her 105th birthday.
Workers at the facility say she is one of the most active 105 year olds they have ever seen. Those around her on a daily basis say that she is very religious and holds devotion with her fellow residents twice a week.
When asked of what she attributes her longevity to, she responded, “The Lord God created me and he gave me this opportunity to tell all of you there is life in where we live, but we have to seek it from the Lord Jesus Christ who created everyone of us.”
In September, the facility will have one of their residents turn 104 years old.
