LEE COUNTY, Al- The Lee County District Attorney’s race is heating up.
Tuesday evening, Lee County voters had the chance to hear from the two GOP candidates during a forum.
Incumbent Robbie Treese argues that his time and experience in Lee County is what would help him succeed as D.A. Brandon Hughes says a new perspective is what the people need.
“Of the 20 years I’ve been in Lee County, 16 of those have been here in Lee County doing that job. I’m very familiar with the judges…the process…and I think that’s what makes me the most qualified candidate out there right now,” said Treese.
Hugh says “It’s very clear that the people of Lee County want to see some change and want to see someone fresh in that office that’s not self-serving, but someone that wants to serve them.”
This is the only Lee County race that will be on the ballot March 1st.
