Auburn Police investigating two weekend robberies

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn Police are investigating two robberies that occurred over the weekend.

Officers responded to a call in the 600 block of Webster Road at 10:38 p.m. Saturday night. Just minutes later officers responded to a second call in the 1800 block of W. Long Leaf Drive.

Police say when they arrived on the scene they were informed that a black male armed with a handgun entered the businesses and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot, but not before taking an undetermined amount of money from both businesses. The clerks from both stores were not injured during the incidents.

Video surveillance captured the suspect seen in the picture above. He is described a male in his twenties with an average build approximately 6’1″ to 6’3″ tall, weighing around 180 – 190 pounds.

Auburn Police Division Detective Section is investigating both cases and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or either case is encouraged to call detectives at 334-501-3140 or the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391.
