Columbus, Ga.- The Victory Drive sink hole has been repaired and the folks with the Columbus Traffic Engineering confirm the area on Victory Drive is open again.
They say it reopened Thursday at 4 p.m. and the detour route is no longer there. Columbus Water Works expected the portion of road to be open again by 8 p.m. that day.
As News 3 Reported a sanitary sewer main collapsed causing a major sinkhole to form on he Eastbound lane of Victory Drive.
Columbus Waterworks told News 3 the pipe collapse happened during the first weekend in January.
The repairs were done right across from the National Guard Armory.
