The two teens arrested in the Upatoi triple homicide are due to appear in court for the first time Friday afternoon.
19-year-old Raheam Gibson and 17-year-old Jervarceay Tapley are suspected in the deaths of Glorida Short, her son Caleb, and her granddaughter Gianna Lindsey. The three were found dead in their home back on January 4.
Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren says Tapley is the cousin of victim Caleb Short. However, the family tells News 3 that there was no relation between the two.
The preliminary hearing will be in Recorder’s Court at 2 p.m. News 3’s Alex Derencz will be present at the hearing, and will provide further details on air. It’s expected that the case will be bound over to superior court. Stay with News 3 online for the latest developments in this case.
