The Glenwood Gators have another baseball player heading to play college baseball. Carson Hicks signed his letter of intent to play for the Chattahoochee Valley Pirates.
He says CV will look at him as a potential pitcher and a possibly a first baseman. He says his experience under Tim Fanning in the Glenwood pipeline has him ready to play at the next level.
“It’s big. I love Glenwood. I’ve always wanted to go to CV. They are a great program. It’s at home. I can stay at home. It’s good,” Hicks said.
Hicks had a 9-5 record pitching last year with a 2.73 ERA.
Offensively, he batted .387 with 50 RBI. He also led the team in walks taken. He says hearing stories like Tim Hudson, who went from Glenwood to CVCC inspires him.
