Three Northside Patriots are on their way to become college athletes… Friends and family gathered in the auditorium today to watch them take their next step in life.
Allison Sievers signed on to pitch for the softball team at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida.
“It was a lot of hard work. I’ve been playing softball since I was 7. And ever since then I worked for this moment for like so many years so all the blood sweat and tears is finally paying off,” she said.
Two other Patriots are also signing to play baseball at East Georgia State College.
Drew Haywood signed on to pitch and play third base for the Bobcats.
“It means everything. I’ve been working for this moment since I was a little boy; since i was 2 years old. I’ve always wanted to play college baseball and hopefully in the pros one day. So this is a first step in a big journey,” Haywood says.
Last but not least, Gage Brown signed to play outfield.
“It took a lot of hard work, dedication and my parents. They helped me through everything… Sports, love. Everything that I needed to do to get to the next level,” Brown said.
