RUSSELL COUNTY, Ala. – Folks are coming together to pray after a double homicide out of Fort Mitchell.
Russell County deputies say Harmon killed 77-year-old Leroy Harmon and 26-year-old Bianca Harmon after getting into an argument at a home on Bradley Drive. Harmon’s also accused of critically injuring a childhood friend, 21-year-old Devonte Howard.
Travon Harmon now faces capital murder charges.
In response to the violence, St. John AME Church in Fort Mitchell is having a city-wide prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
The prayer will focus on victims of gun violence in the Chattahoochee Valley and across America.
