Fire breaks out at home on 42nd Street

COLUMBUS, Ga. – News 3 was on the scene of a fire that broke out in the 1000 block of 42nd Street.

The call came in just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. We are told the fire began in the back of the home and was contained to one room.

Columbus Fire tells us the fire didn’t make it into the actual structure of the house and remains under investigation.

Three people were home at the time of the fire, all making it out safely.
