Good Morning!

Today is Wednesday January 6th, 2016! It is a special day here at News 3: Three of our morning crew members have birthdays. First Meteorologist Kurt Schmitz, News 3’s Kristina Privette and our director Drew Platta are all celebrating together.

The world is waking up this morning to news North Korea has reportedly conducted a successful hydrogen bomb test. The United Nations Security Council meets today to discuss the claim.

A Ft. Mitchell man is in jail this morning after confessing to shooting 3 people. Happening at 7p.m. today St. John AME Church a citywide prayer vigil. The church is located at 944 Alabama Hwy 165, 36856.

The investigation is underway this morning into the triple homicide in Upatoi. On the heels of this tragedy a story you will see only on News 3 we give you ways to protect yourself and your family during a home invasion. News 3 will have tips and reaction from a home invasion victim.
