COLUMBUS, Ga.- After nearly a decade the Federal Reserve raised interest rates last week, but it’s not something that is concerning a local realtor.
Jed Harris tells News 3 there is nothing to worry about because rates are still at historic lows.
He says another sign that our local housing market is doing well is the fact builders are still at work.
“We have a thriving market locally…more homes are being built..I don’t see it as an issue,” says Harris.
He also attributes our thriving housing market to Columbus State University. He believes the school’s growth is a huge support to our property values. He says the school is especially the driving force behind the Uptown area’s growth.
