COLUMBUS, Ga. – The woman accused of stealing a car, driving drunk, and causing three crashes killing a 7-year-old boy made her first court appearance.
News three was in the court room today when 56-year-old Kathryn Adams faced a judge for the first time.
A judge said her bond on the homicide by vehicle and murder would be turned over to a Superior Court judge.
She went before a judge today in Recorder’s Court for her preliminary hearing.
Police say Adams was involved in three crashes around 8:30 Saturday evening, driving a stolen vehicle, injuring six people including herself, and killing 7 year old Ayden Kitchens.
She had no clothes on during all of this.
Adams faces at least 18 charges – including murder, first-degree homicide by vehicle, theft by taking motor vehicle, dui and leaving the scene of an accident.
56 year old Kathryn Adams remains in jail – with no bond.
This case has been bound over to Superior Court.
The 7 year old who died in that crash – Ayden Kitchens – was looking at Christmas lights with his siblings when the crash happened.
They were also injured in the crash.
