COLUMBUS, Ga. – You’ve heard of Hollywood right? But what about Y’allwood?

As you saw right here on, the Columbus Film Office has partnered with the Springer Opera House, Columbus State University, and the State of Georgia.

They’ll be training local workers for high-paying jobs in Georgia’s film industry.

A news conference was held today at the Springer Opera House to make the big announcement.

“Having a workforce that we can draw on and attract future opportunities to is I think going to make a big, a big impact on our region.” Said Bill Murphy of the Greater Columbus Chamber.
