COLUMBUS, Ga. – There are a lot of activities in this weekend’s outdoor events and the forecast is perfect for them!
Discover local restaurants and stores, while learning about Uptown’s history at Columbus’s first walking food tour this evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. EST.
Thanksgiving is next week and St. Anne-Pacelli in Columbus is prepared with their 5K and 1 mile Turkey Trot on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. EST.
If you’re more of a walker or biker, the Team Asia 3K walk and motorcycle ride honors Asia Hoskins, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a hit-and-run accident. It starts Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. EST at 11th and Bay Street in Uptown Columbus.
From walking to water – Kayak the Hooch is an 8-mile guided tour down the Chattahoochee River that ends up at Oxbow Meadows Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. EST. You can register with Outside World Outfitters in Uptown Columbus.
Out of the water, you help the homeless by donating clothes and shoes to the homeless street store from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST Saturday on the 1100 block of Broadway in Uptown Columbus.
This weekend’s highlighted event is the Chattahoochee Challenge Adventure Race. Participants complete in teams in activities like zip-lining, running, biking and paddling in the four hour scavenger hunt course.

“This is one of our races that is very limited to athletic ability. It’s more about teamwork and team bonding and working together,” says Cogle.
The race starts at 9:00 a.m. Saturday and lasts until 1:00 p.m. EST.
