Brookstone pair signs to play at Columbus State

A pair of Brookstone athletes are staying Cougars Baseball player Drew Webb and softball player Helen Snavely signed their letters of intent to play at the college level right here at home at Columbus State.

With families, friends, and coaches watching, they inked their letters. They both said signing day was a dream come true.

“It’s really exciting and almost scary to know that I’m going to continue to do what i love. It’s just kind of scary. It is going to be at a higher level and more intense,” Snavely said.

“It’s unreal, just knowing from an early age that i wanted to go play college baseball, it’s unreal that today is happening and it has finally come true. That’s awesome,” said Webb.

Drew says he is excited for his family to be able to watch him play. Helen says she already knows four or five of her teammates, and that will make the transition to college softball even easier.
