MCSO develops new app for residents

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office has developed and launched an app that is now available for iPhone and Android users.

“The purpose of this app is to keep the residents of Muscogee County and our neighboring communities informed and safe,” said Muscogee County Sheriff John Darr.

Muscogee_MostWantedThe app will allow citizens to search for the following information: Registered Sex Offenders in Muscogee County, Muscogee County Jail “Inmate Search,” and Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted.”

Those who download the free app will be able to submit information on unsolved crimes, submit commendations or complaints about MCSO personnel and contact burearu within the Sheriff’s Office directly. Also you will receive ‘Push Notifications’ that will inform citizens about issues related to safety concerns, weather, wanted individuals, and traffic.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office app has been in development for approximately eight week according to MCSO Public Isubmit offendernformation Officer Major Randy Robertson. Robertson also stated that no taxpayer monies were used to develop this important tool.
