UPDATE: Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor says an arrest has been made in connection to this morning’s lockdown at Russell County High School. A news conference is set for 4:00 p.m. ET at the Sheriff’s office.

Operations at Russell County High School have returned to normal following a brief lockdown this morning.
Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor tells us the lockdown was precautionary. He says they were looking into rumors regarding the school, but everything has been taken care of.
Taylor said, “We feel confident that the students are safe.”
The Sheriff’s office sent out a media release around 11:00 ET this morning saying that lockdown had been lifted.
