Small engine airplane crashes in Georgia; five killed

BACON COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are on their way to the scene of a fatal plane crash in Georgia.

The small engine aircraft went down yesterday east of Highway 32 near Alma in the Rockingham community. Five people weer killed, and all of them were from the area.

Their identities have not yet been released.

Officials say the flight left Bacon County Airport Wednesday morning around 2:30 and went down just minutes later.
