COLUMBUS, Ga. – Investigators back out this Wednesday morning trying to figure out what could have caused the Tuesday night  auto body shop fire.

Fire and EMS Chief Ricky Shores won’t say if they think this was an accidental or intentional fire.

He does say at least 17 vehicles have some degree of damage.

Crews were on the scene battling a fire that broke out just after 8:30 Tuesday night at Frank’s Collision Center on Warm Springs Road.

Officials had to shut down Warm Springs Road as they worked to contain the blaze.

Columbus Police say this busy section of the road was open in time for Wednesday morning’s commute.
