CPD say two loan businesses held up in armed robberies

Columbus Police are investigating two armed robberies they say happened in the same block  within 15 minutes.

Between 1:20 and 1:35 Saturday afternoon, authorities say two loan businesses were robbed: InstaLoan and TitleMax.

Police also say the InstaLoan on Macon Road was robbed.

Both businesses are located in the 3500 block of Macon Road. In the InstaLoan robbery, police are looking for a black man in his mid-30’s. They say he stands at around six feet tall and weighs approximately 250 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a black captain cap, a black shirt, black cargo shorts and black glasses.

Investigators are still analyzing evidence in the hopes of naming a suspect in the TitleMax robbery.

Currently, police have not linked the two robberies together.
