Fort Benning is making history, as two women are set to graduate Ranger School.
The post announced their completion today, saying 94 men will also earn the Ranger Tab. The course started out with 19 women and 381 men back on April 20th.
A graduation ceremony will be held this Friday, August 21st on Victory Pond at Fort Benning for those who met the standards of the course.
This is the first year any females have been allowed to partake in the school.
The Ranger Course is a 62-day course on leadership and small unit tactics that pushes Ranger students to their mental and physical limits by forcing them to operate on minimal food and sleep. Approximately 34 percent of students who enter Ranger School recycle at least one phase of the course, according to the post.
