The man police say was shot on 28th Avenue Thursday has died.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed the death of shooting victim Simon Lee King, Jr. Sunday. Bryan says King died of gunshot wounds to the stomach around 2:20 p.m. at Midtown Medical Center.
Police tell News 3 King, 57, was shot Thursday, August 13 just after midnight. Authorities say the shooting happened in the 300 block of 28th Avenue, where they found King lying in the driveway.
Police say they are looking for two suspects in connection with the shooting. They say two black males between the ages of 19-24 were last seen in a gold or silver sedan, driving up Clover Lane. They say one of the suspects have a low-cut haircut and a slender build.
