To high school football, Friday night, the Pacelli Vikings won a scrimmage against Jordan 35-28. With plenty of playmakers and obvious ability to score, the Vikings are looking to build on that momentum as the season arrives.
It’s a welcome site for first year head coach Alan Griffin. He says that in their tough region, there is no such thing as an easy game and they plan to play and practice like it.
“I think the expectations are always high when you start a season. But, it has got to be game-by-game. Every single team we are going to play this year are going to be pretty darn good. We just have to look for each game at a time,” Griffin said.
Pacelli gets an extra week before the games that count. The Vikings’ first game is a week from Thursday at Mount De Salles.
