Our PrepZone preview continues with the Beauregard Hornets, as they head into Rob Carter’s second year as head coach, the expectations are higher than they’ve been in recent memory.
The Hornets have 22 seniors leading the way, and that’s from a team that went 7-3 last year and won five games in their region.
They made the playoffs but lost a tough first round game to Charles Henderson. They’re taking that experience and letting it guide them this year, so hopefully they can get to Tuscaloosa for a championship.
“We are just looking at moving fast. We are trying to get past the first round really and trying to play more as a team,” said senior wide receiver Heath Senn.
“We have got a good football team. Anytime you return such a big class of seniors, you’re expected to do really well and your expectations are really high. We are thinking playoffs and going into a deeper run than we have ever been,” Carter said.
