Columbus broadcasting community loses a legend

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Veteran radio broadcaster Bill Bowick passed away Wednesday night.

He moved to Columbus in 1955 and became a staple on the airwaves for over three decades.

Bowick was a member of the WRBL family in the 1970’s, working for WRBL radio. His “Coffee With Bill” morning show was a hit no matter which station he was working for.

Bowick was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.

Bill Bowick was 91 years old.
