Several law enforcement officers and SWAT officials have surrounded a mobile home park on Joy Road in an attempt to subdue an armed suspect.
Authorities say they went to a trailer-home on Joy Road to serve a burglary arrest warrant on a woman they say fired multiple times at officers. One witness at the scene tells News 3 that about five police cars were parked at the Pine Meadows Mobile Home Park, located in the 900 block of Joy Road.
Police say the armed suspect barricaded herself in the home with her dog as police surrounded the home. Officers have sent a robot to inspect inside the home. Some SWAT officials have pulled the woman’s air conditioner out of the mobile home. Authorities say the woman is not holding any hostages inside.
