MACON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a second teen has been charged in a rampage at a middle Georgia Wal-Mart that caused an estimated $2,000 in damage.
Macon-Bibb County sheriff’s officials say 18-year-old Vashaun Chandler Rozier of Lizella surrendered to authorities Thursday afternoon.
Sheriff’s officials have said dozens of teens stormed into the Wal-Mart around 2 AM Sunday smashing merchandise.
Sheriff’s officials say one teen was arrested after returning to the store to retrieve his lost cellphone. Authorities say the 17-year-old boy has been released on $3,700 bond.
Jail records show Rozier is charged with criminal damage to property, criminal street gang activity and rioting. He’s being held on $2,400 bond. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
Investigators have said they’ll use surveillance footage to try identifying the other suspects.
