LEE COUNTY, Ala.– Two men are facing charges in connection with multiple burglaries in Lee County.
Last Wednesday, deputies arrested 25-year-old Timothy Fleshman of Valley and 46-year-old Jeffery Woody of Opelika for their alleged involvement with burglaries in the Lake Harding area.
On June 23, a Lee County deputy says they noticed several items piled up in the bed of a truck that matched property stolen from a recent house burglary on Lee Road 357 in Valley. After attempting to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped away and later exited his vehicle and fled the scene. Deputies say they found two metal pipe threading machines, a stove and various pieces of scrap metal in his truck bed. The items were later identified by the home owner as property that had been stolen from their house during the burglary.
The Sheriff’s Office says they identified Woody as the driver that fled. Investigators identified Fleshman a co-defendant in the crime and say he’s linked to 3 burglaries in the Lake Harding area.
Fleshman is charged with 3 counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, Theft of Property in the First Degree and Theft of Property in the Second Degree. He is being held on a $12,000 bond. Woody is charged with receiving stolen property. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
These cases are still under investigation and anyone that may have information about this case or similar crimes is urged to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (334) 749-5651.
