Columbus man shot to death, alleged shooter turns himself in
19-year-old Jarrett Marshall has turned himself in and is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in connection to the death of Trenton Hill.

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Columbus police say a man is dead after he was shot Sunday night and another man has turned himself in with connection to the shooting.

Columbus Police Patrol Units say they responded to the Walgreens on Buena Vista Road close to 6:30 PM where they found Trenton Hill suffering from a gunshot wound.

Authorities say Hill was transported to the MidTown Medical Center ER where he died from his wound.

19-year-old Jarrett Marshall later turned himself in at the Public Safety Building and is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in connection with Hill’s death.

The Columbus police investigation reveals Hill was at 746 Andrea Drive when he was shot.

Marshall’s preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 9:00 AM.
