Philip Lutzenkirchen's name will live on as his high school names their football field "Lutzie 43 Field."
As if it wasn’t already, Philip Lutzenkirchen’s legacy will now live forever at his former high school.
Thursday, Lassiter High in Marietta, Ga. got approval for a new turf football field, and will name it after the former Auburn star tight end. The Cobb County School board passed it unanimously, 7-0.
The field will be called “Lutzie 43 Field,” and is projected to cost north of $330,000, which will be covered completely by the Lutzie 43 Foundation.
Lutzie 43 Field is scheduled to be completed July 24.
