Nursing students at a local community college are working hard to pass the national exam on the try. We paid a visit to Wallace Community College, the Sparks Campus in Eufaula. We found the students in the LPN program are exceeding state and national averages on the licensure exams on the first try.
From October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012, the first time test takers passed with an of 97.6 percent.
“And that was 13-point-6 percent above the national total and 6-point-9 percent above the Alabama total so we’re very proud of those numbers that we’re above our national and state totals,” said Gwyn Galloway, Director of Practical Nursing.
Wallace Community College offers tuition at in-state fees, to folks in neighboring counties in Georgia including Muscogee.
